Zeno of Citium (334 – 262 BCE) was a Greek philosopher who founded the Stoic school of philosophy. Stoicism is the most important philosophy of antiquity known by its unique and compelling philosophical insights. On final goal. In order to live a good life, we should live according to experience of the things which happen by nature. The final goal is to obtain a practical knowledge and become an expert in selecting a thing in accordance with nature. On emotions. Passion is a bad judgement about something. It is an excessive motion of the soul. On Fate and Freedom. The physical world is a deterministic system where everything is causally determined. In this chain of events, God is the active principle and the connecting cause.
