Four Hares Game Board

Four Hares Game Board

RULE OF THE GAME This game can be played by two partners; the first takes the fighter, represented by the large red pawn, and places it in the circumference placed at the top of the drawing, the second the 4 small pawns, and, according to their color, places them at the bottom of each of the 4 columns. These 4 small pawns represent the hares. Whichever of the players has the hares will start the game. He will take a dice, throw it and, depending on the point brought up, move the hare in the blue column forward that many spaces. The other player—representing the hunter—will then aim his rifle at one—of his choice—of the six red stripes leading to him. Then the player - representing the hares - after throwing the die again will act with the pawn of the yellow column as he did with that of the blue column. After that the hunter will proceed as he did previously, then the hare will do the same with the green column and the red column, and so on, starting again with the blue column. When the spell brings a hare pawn to one of the white squares that are on the path of the colored squares and the hunter's rifle is aimed at this goal, the hare will be shot, put out of the game, and the hunter will score a point. . When a hare has escaped the hunter's rifle and has reached the end of his column, the player representing the hares will score a point, and so on, until the end of the game, which can be played in as many points designated by the partners. The first to reach the agreed number of points will be declared the winner. In the event that the player, who represents the hares, would bring a point which makes him go beyond the last space of the column in which he moves his pawn, he will still score a point, since he will have escaped the gun of the hunter despite everything. .
